Mother's Day Out

Here's a few pics of Eli at our church's Mother's Day Out program. We've had him enrolled on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30-2 since last fall. He loves his teacher, Kayla, and all his friends in class. Mommy loves it because she can get some quality Bible study time and do errands without her little "helper."

Old Friends Unite

My dear friend Brooks Donald-Williams is the new head coach for the McNeese State women's basketball team. Aaron and I got a babysitter last Friday night and drove down to Conway, Arkansas, to watch her coach her Cowgirls against the University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears (yes, that is really their mascot). Her team won big and we got to hug Brooks' neck and catch up a bit after the game. It was so great to see her and I'm so proud of all her accomplishments!

Nana sent Eli a new alphabet tracing book for Valentine's Day. Here he is putting the rubber to the road! Do you think he gets excited about letters???

Getting bigger

With only a month or so to go, I'm definitely getting bigger and a little more uncomfortable. Okay, A LOT more uncomfortable! But, it will all be worth it when we get to see baby Jacob. We're not convinced Eli has a clue as to what's going on, but he acknowledges that "baby brother" is in mommy's belly! He'll probably figure something is askew when our attention is shifted a bit in April...

A quick recap

Since this is now my third official attempt at creating a website to update friends and loved ones on our family, I thought I'd better start with a quick recap of the last year or so. Aaron became Dr. Aaron in December of 2006 and attained an Assistant Professor position at the University of Arkansas. So, we moved to Fayetteville that same month. Hard to believe we've been here over a year now! Eli, our firstborn, will be three in May- talk about time flying! He's definitely into his numbers and his letters and can't get enough of flashcards. We're raising a nerd, I know... We're expecting our second son, Jacob Wesley, late March/early April depending on how my pregnancy progresses. We're getting excited and trying to wrap our heads around more sleepless nights!
