My dear friend Roby was my inspiration to attempt to make baby food for Jacob. I did it a little for Eli when he was an infant, but with two boys now, it hasn't seemed practical. But, it is a money-savings and Eli and I had a good time making our carrots and green beans!

Baby Mum Mum
I found these rice crackers at our local IGA on clearance for 50 cents! Jacob loves them, so I had to go back and buy them out! Since then, I discovered that Wal-Mart sells them. Don't think he realizes he's got a little schmutz right there... (Actually, I looked up the word "schmutz" and it may be too strong of a noun in this instance!)
Valentine's Day Pilgrimage
I asked if there would be any chocolate as part of my Valentine's Day, so Aaron got all spontaneous on me and suggested we drive to a chocolate shop we read about in a local magazine. So, we headed north (about a 45 minute trip) late Valentine's Day morning. It was well worth the trip to Martin Greer's Candies- some of the yummiest almond toffee I've ever had! Too bad Jacob couldn't partake.... Here's the link if anyone is interested-they do mail order if you're looking for any gift ideas.

Grammy Came Back!
Each time Grammy comes, I figure she's probably so worn out from her visit that she may never come back. But she does! Aaron was at a conference during the first week of February, and Grammy came to keep me and the boys company. Between Eli getting a virus, Jacob's cold getting worse, my 5-hour plasma donation, etc., I'm not sure what we would've done without her! The group shots were taken right before we headed to church and Grammy hit the road. Some of the shots were taken by Eli. (Hopefully, you can tell.)
